personal.
personal.

She stands in the mirror, she looks less alive. She lifts up her shirt to see she has five branded fingers on her side. She’s feeling it all now.

But she doesn’t cry.

Haley: I just told my mom the steps of getting over someone
Me: Hopefully it helps.
Me: There's no set speed of it, just steps.
Haley: Yep. First, distant yourself. Second, delete special texts and voicemails and emails. Three, keep your mind busy.
Me: Deleting stuff really helps.
Me: Takes a while to get there, but it's such a relief when you do.
Haley: Yes.
Haley: You'll regret it a millon times but in the end, you thank yourself for it.
Haley: You basically purge them from yourself.
Me: You'll never tell yourself thank you outloud but you know deep down.
Haley: I tell myself thank you all the time. Every time I purge someone from my life, I go back every now and then and thank god I did it. I get new perspective and saw just how they weren't good for me.
Me: Blah.
Me: good.
Me: I'm glad.
Haley: You don't get that? Maybe I just think too much.
Me: Nooooo.
Me: I definitely get that.
Me: It's just scary.
Haley: It is?
Me: For me, anyways.
Me: I always want to give people more and more chances just so I can maybe get a glimpse of the good person that I thought they were.
Me: Idk.
Haley: You're a truly good person.

Mine.
